China first fugu licensed shop opens in Dalian on Jan 27.The shop named Fugu Yuwang,is the only shop get approval from the relative authority to retail fugu products.It marks an era that Chinese people can eat fugu from legal channel in safe way. Dalian Fugu Aquatic Product Company,the shop's owner,official licencee as well,is permitted to open shops within Liaoning province.

This white-fleshed fish with a delicate flavor carries enough poison to paralyze and kill within hours if not properly prepared but it has been eaten in China for thousands of years.The opening of the shop ends a 24-year ban on fugu consumption in China.

China now is one of the biggest fugu processing countries with annual export volume more than 6000 tonnes.
