The Regulatory Council of the Galician Mussel is today launching a new communication campaign with which it seeks to consolidate the competitiveness of the Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) of Mejillón de Galicia, enhance the brand and communicate the advantages that, in terms of added value, are part of belonging to the PDO.

This ambitious initiative of the Regulatory Council, carried out through the aid requested from the GALP, was approved by the Undersecretariat of Marine Affairs of ​​Galicia and financed by European funds. It is aimed at a wide audience, comprising both final consumers and distribution professionals, hospitality, gastronomy, etc., and its release scope will be national.

This time, the campaign will use digital media (social networks, online editions of newspapers and magazines) as well as the main online television platforms), where messages will be presented through formats such as spots, videos and banners.

This strategy aims to achieve the widest possible coverage among the target audience, thereby increasing brand awareness and generating brand awareness and image.

The Regulatory Council emphasizes that the PDO seal has taken on a major role since the aim is to extend and strengthen the scope of Mejillón de Galicia brand so that there is no doubt when distinguishing it from other offers in the market, and especially those that use irregular terms related to the origin of the mussel, creating confusion among consumers.

The campaign wants to get the most interaction possible with the public. To this end, actions have been devised as competitions, whose winners will be awarded with gifts.

Beside the elements indicated, the merchandising will also have its space with different products designed for the occasion, all of them very attractive, according to the Regulatory Council.
