The Cross-Straits Aquatic Product Trade Fair will be held at the Cross-Straits Aquatic Products Trading Center in Mawei district during Sep. 16 to 18.

As introduced by the head of Mawei district, this trade fair will initiate direct selling of Taiwan aquatic products to the Chinese mainland. From then on, more Taiwan aquatic products will be shipped to the Chinese mainland from Mawei distribution center.

It is learned that people from home and abroad as well as some delegations from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions, Japan, ROK and Malaysia, etc are invited to make business negotiation and promote local aquatic specialties. Besides, this trade fair will release a procurement list worthy 6 billion yuan.

It is learnt that Taiwan stand is the largest one in the Cross-Strait Aquatic Product Trade Fair this year, which will exhibit over 40 varieties of epinephelus lanceolatus, tuna, perch, milkfish, Taiwan crab, sailfish and wild tortoise, etc., among which epinephelus lanceolatus weighs 50~100 kg each.

Furthermore, 50,000 portions of over 40 kinds of unique Taiwan delicacies will be prepared for citizens to taste during the trade fair, such as milkfish pellets, milkfish maw, grouper flesh, grouper maw and Taiwan crabs.
