China, Argentina sign series of agreements during Argentine president's visit

China and Argentina on Tuesday afternoon signed 12 more agreements including a joint statement in Beijing as Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner is paying her first state visit to China.

Chinese President Hu Jintao and Cristina Kirchner witnessed the signing of the deals covering areas like transportation infrastructure, fishery, energy, plant quarantine, freight rail line after their talks.

Earlier Tuesday, Cristina Kirchner and Chinese Vice Premier Hui Liangyu also attended the signing ceremony at which the two countries inked six contracts on areas including railway technology, and electrification of rail lines.
