Zhanjiang Guolian Aquatic Products Corp. Ltd. recently signed an annual supply order worth 50 million U.S. dollars with Darden Restaurant Inc., the largest high-end products transaction agreement it has ever inked, according to report from Zhanjiang Daily.

It's learned that Zhanjiang Guolian Aquatic Products will provide high-end deep-processed shrimp products to Darden Restaurants, with four shrimp products specifically customized for Darden, originated by half a year's research.

The international financial crisis dumped cold water on China's prawn exports, prompting industrial insiders to estimate that exports will fall 20 percent year on year in 2009.

Darden Restaurants, headquartered in Orlando Fl, U.S.A., is the world's largest company-owned and operated restaurant company. It boasts almost 6.7 billion dollars in annual sales and more than 1,700 restaurants in the U.S., catering to two million people weekly.
