Shanghai:Shrimps feel the cold

THE price of shrimps has doubled in local markets due to the cold weather.

Bamboo shrimp was sold at 130 yuan (US$18) per kilogram in the Oriental International Aquatic Products Center on Jungong Road, double the price two weeks ago. The wholesale price of greasy-back shrimp also doubled to 32 yuan a kilogram. The cost of seafood such as eel, pomfret and yellow croaker also rose.
