10%-15% increase on the price of crayfish in Nanjing market

Affected by the reduced supply, the price of crayfish has been pushed again recently. Based on the data from Huimin seafood market of Nanjing, much increase happened within the past two days, comparing to the end of May. The prices for 50 grams and 60 grams weighted crayfish have been respectively up to 17 -19 Yuan / 500g and 23 -26 Yuan / 500g, at 10% -15% increase.

Comparing to the last year, price on crayfish has been reported to rise greatly, especially in these days, 35-45g/piece crayfish used to be at 7 Yuan/ 500g has been sold at 9 Yuan/ 500g and 20-30g/piece crayfish from 5 Yuan/ 500g to 8 Yuan/ 500g. As for the super-size 90g/ piece crayfish, it has been out of stock in the current seafood market. Since the end of May, the daily market turnover has been reported to be sustainable at about 25 tons.
