Based on the statistics from ZhouShan Administration for Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine, it has been reported that the export volume of aquatic products at ZhouShan Port last year was 230,900 tons, valued for 727 million US dollars, which was respectively 11.15% and 14.67% increase to the last year, hitting the historical peak.

As to be known, the exports on fish, shellfish and cephalopod played the great role in the fishery exports of ZhouShan last year, mainly to Japan, Korea, Euro and relevant regions. Within the total export volume on fishery products as 230,000 tons, the contribution from further-processed products was 112,000 tons, nearly 50% of all and 49.56% increased to last year, which resulted in the increased added value on fishery exports. Also with more and more efforts on middle-stage processing development, the re-exportation on aquatic products has been greatly increased such as the figure of last year was 12,500 tons, valued for 59 million dollars, respectively at 52.71% and 40.29% increase to the previous year.
