Harbin consumes 5 tons imported seafood daily

As the quiet season for seafood market of Harbin as usual, the spring of this year is coming with its exclusion. There are more than 20 oversea species from eight countries such as Canada, America, Australia etc. struggling for the fishery market of Harbin. Together with the varied domestic seafood, those species are competing to make appearance in commoner’s daily menu.

According to the report from the HaDaGuo wholesale market, it has showed that there are total 21 oversea species from eight major countries in the current heated market, such as Bread Crab, King Crab, Dungeon Crab and Snow Crab from Canada; American Lobster, Australian Lobster, Red Lobster and Coral Lobster from America; salmon from Norway; Burma Crab; Sea-ear, King Crab and shrimp from Australia; Spider Crab and baby mussel from South Korea and Brazil tortoise. Also it has been known that all the imported species are fresh and live, with the delivery by air from producing country to Guangdong and subsequently to Harbin
