From the wee hours of October 28, Guangdong Guotong Distribution Center of Safe Agricultural Products declared to customs formally to export the fresh seafood to Hong Kong. This batch of seafood included over 10 kinds, such as shrimps, sea crabs and groupers, weighing 14 tons totally and valuing HKD 210,000. Shunde Office of Foshan Customs House transacts the customs procedures for the enterprises in wee hours everyday in order that the seafood can arrive at the wholesale market of aquatic products in Hong Kong for selling on the intraday early morning.

According to the regulations of relevant departments, from May this year, edible aquatic animals supplied to Hong Kong from such areas as Yangjiang, Jiangmen and Zhaoqing by land shall be sent to the Transit Center of Agricultural Products for Hong Kong and Macao in Guangdong Guotong Logistic City for inspection and quarantine and will be exported if qualified. At the end of October, suppliers from Yangjiang declared to customs to export seafood to Hong Kong in succession. In order to keep the seafood alive when arriving in Hong Kong for selling, Shunde Office of Foshan Customs House spared no effort to provide facilitated measures of customs clearance for the enterprises, including setting up the channel to inspect and release fresh aquatic products at night, and providing preengagement of customs clearance and pre-declaration 24 hours to satisfy the request of the enterprises. Meanwhile, such systems as “Emergency Mechanism of Nighttime Customs Clearance” and “Linkman of Nighttime Customs Clearance” were starting up to deal with the problems occuring during the process of nighttime customs clearance to guarantee that the fresh seafood can enjoy quick customs clearance and the systems did successfully promote the export of aquatic products.
