Producer's price of agricultural products keeps rising in first 3 quarters

According to the result of nationwide survey on 31,000 agricultural holdings conducted by National Bureau of Statistics of China, it showed that in the first three quarters, the producer's price of major agricultural products (the direct price which sold by the agricultural producers) grew up 17.4 percent, year-on-year, of which, the producer's price of planting, forestry, animal husbandry and fishing products rose 6.2, 3.6, 26.8 and 8.4 percent respectively.

In terms of planting products, the producer's price of foodstuff surging 7.7 percent, year-on-year. Of which, producer's price of cereal, wheat, rice, corn, beans, potato and oil-bearing crops climbing 7.8, 5.1, 4.0, 14.5, 6.8, 3.9 and 24.3 percent respectively; that of cotton, sugar and fruit declined 1.6, 0.3 and 2.1 percent; that of vegetable, tea and tobacco leaf jumping 4.0, 23.7 and 2.5 percent respectively.

In terms of forestry products, the producer's price of timber, bamboo, and glue grease and fruits increased 8.3, 12.3 and 1.7percent respectively.

In terms of animal husbandry products, the producer's price of slaughtered fattened hogs, meat cattle, sheep and goats, poultry, poultry eggs, milk products and cashmere products jumping 40.2, 11.4, 13.8, 15.7, 14.9, 2.4 and 5.7 percent respectively.

In terms of fishery products, the producer's price of seawater aquatic products climbed up by 11.1 percent year-on-year, of which, seawater fish up 10.9 percent, seashell increased 5.0 percent respectively; the producer's price of freshwater aquatic products was up by 3.2 percent. Of which, freshwater fish climbing 2.4 percent; that of freshwater shrimp and crab expanded by 8.4 percent.
