Fishing boat sinks, 2 missing in E China sea

HANGZHOU - Five people have been rescued and another two remain missing after a fishing boat sank on Sunday off the coast of East China's Zhejiang province, the provincial border authorities told Xinhua on Monday.

The ship from neighboring Fujian province collided with an unknown vessel at 11 pm Sunday, and seven crew members fell into the water, an official said.

Five of the seven were rescued by a nearby fishing boat at 1 am Monday.

Search and rescue efforts for the missing crew members are still underway, and an investigation into the incident has been launched, the official said.
