Massive 250-kg fish caught in river

Brothers Yong from Shengli Village, which is located in Wuyun Town, Jiayin County, Yichun City of Heilongjiang Province, caught a large sturgeon fish when fishing in Heilongjiang River.

The fish is over 500 kilograms in weight and about 3 meters in height.

Its scientific name is Huso dauricus. As a kind of sturgeon, it is originated 130 million years ago and is one of the Palaeobiota preserved during the Cretaceous Period.
