SHANGHAI people have subscribed to a service that will release 16.67 million fry to the Yangtze River mouth on Friday, China's Navigation Day.

The released species will include large yellow croaker, crab, Japanese prawn and jellyfish.
The fry will be put into the East China Sea to help recover the ecological balance of the area near the Yangtze River mouth and Hangzhou Bay.

People can subscribe by going to the Website www.dhyzchina.gov.cn. Representatives of subscribers will be invited to join the release ceremony, according to the East China Sea Fisheries Management & Fishing Port Superintendence.
The department is also recruiting student volunteers for ecology recovery. The volunteers will spread ecology recovery knowledge after receiving training.
