The two-month fishing break in South China Sea came to an end on August 1 (yesterday), Guangzhou Daily reports.

Over 10,000 fishing boats in Guangdong Province are allowed to resume fishing on the sea.

Fishing boats sail off to sea to fish in South China Sea in Guangdong.

The aquatics wholesale price maintained as before in Guangzhou's several aquatic markets on August 1, the first day of a new fishing season.

Vendors explained fishing boats will be back after 8 days of fishing on the sea. The price of some aquatic products like mantis shrimp and crabs are expected to decrease.

Most mantis shrimps are from the sea because artificial breeding is difficult, an insider said.

Some products bred in aquiculture are rarely affected by the fishing break.

Fishermen raise dogs to kill time during the fishing break.
