By: Ming Pao Daily News
Jul 02,2007
In Hong Kong, the law requiring mandatory third party insurance cover for fishing vessels will start to be effective on 2 July 2007. However, some 300 fishermen staged a protest at the Marine Department on 25 June 2007 to call for the department to delay the implementation of the law. The six-month grace period before the law becomes effective will end soon.
