With the proof and authorizing by Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Office of Fujian province, a joint venture corporation supported by 8 million US dollars investment from a Fujian enterprise and a subsidiary company of Indonesia AG group, is founded for cooperative development on the Indonesia pelagic fishery resources. This project is supposed to create employment opportunities for 6,000 fishermen and have the annual output on self-fishing at 370,000 tons, mainly for the domestic selling.

It can be seen as another breakthrough on oversea fishery resources exploration by Fujian Pelagic Fishery Group, following up with the establishment of fishery base in Indonesia by Fuzhou Fulong Marine Fishery Firm and Pingtan Pelagic Fishery Firm.
