China Fishery inks S$230m deal to hire 3 super trawlers

China Fishery is hiring three more fishing vessels.

Under an agreement worth US$150 million or S$230 million, China Fishery will hire three super trawlers.

The charter fee for the three super trawlers will be amortized over the entire tenure of 18 years.

The super trawlers have received governmental rights to harvest fish from the North Pacific Ocean.

This latest deal will boost China Fishery's super trawler fleet size from 14 to 17, and total gross tonnage from 59,000 tones to over 75,000 tones
