It is reported that Dongying has made a special effort to optimize economic structure, increase the income of local residents, accelerate economy and society development, actively developing ecological aquaculture and high efficiency fishery.

According to statistics, Dongying city covers a cultured area of 60,000 mu for sea cucumber now, which is expected to rise to 90,000 mu by the end of 2010, and the annual output will reache 2400 tons, valued at 360 million yuan.
