In the 6^th Lobster Festival of Hefei held on June 28^th, Hefei City was officially conferred with “The Capital of Chinese crawfish” by China Fishery Association.

Since the “Development Plan of Crawfish Industry in Hefei” has already been approved, in 2012, the economic aggregate on crawfish of Hefei is supposed to be 5 billion Yuan, with 300 breeding bases set up and breeding area at 200,000 acres, aiming for the total crawfish output at 100,000 tons. Also about 5000 characterized catering enterprises and 1000 experienced brokers on crawfish are going to emerge in this industry.
