It has been released by the local breeding farmers that as the leading breeding base on Channel catfish fry with the output taking up 70% within the whole county, for the provisions to over 20 provinces such as Hunan, Guangxi, Jiangsu and Fujian, Jayu county of Hubei has got the lowest price at about 3 Yuan for one thousand pieces, being decreased since most farms shifted to the breeding on catfish fry. Thus, many farms have to shut down for bankrupt last year. The new view is coming this year with the expansion on breeding area. The recovered Undersupplied fry market is supposed to draw the price on channel catfish in 2007 back to a comparable status to 2005, at about 60-65 Yuan for one thousand pieces |
